They are verbs that consist of a verbal prefix and a verb. There are only a few of these verbal prefixes used in conversational Persian, for example:
bar-gashtan برگشتن = to go back
dar-aavordan درآوردن = to take out
foru-raftan فرورفتن = to go deep into
vaa-daashtan واداشتن = to make [someone do something]
var-oftaadan ورافتادن = to be outdated
