How do we say ‘to be nervous’, for example for an interview?
We can use delhore daashtan دلهره داشتن , ezteraab daashtan اضطراب داشتن , moztareb budan is مضطرب بودن , or simply negaraan budan نگران بودن . Note that the direct equivalent of ‘nervous’ is asabi عصبی which may not be very precise in this context. For example, if I say: In ruzaa xeyli asabi-ye این روزا خیلی عصبیه , it will mean something like ‘S/he is on edge these days’, or, ‘S/he has a hair-trigger temper these days’.
